For the third year, we had the privilege of being a sponsor for the two-day Feed My Starving Children MobilePack: River Falls, WI event held at Tattersall. We donned our hair nets and volunteered for a shift on Tuesday evening, alongside many other community volunteers. The turnout for this event was amazing and inspiring!

During our shift alone, a group of 120 volunteers were able to pack 28,080 meals, and this year's sessions packed a total of 139,968 meals, which will feed countless children worldwide! Today is World Duchenne Awareness Day and we wore lime green in support of this year’s theme, “Access Changes Lives.” Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) is a rare progressive disorder that is mostly seen in boys due to the X-chromosome mutation that causes it. Approximately 1 in every 5,000 boys are born with the disease.

It challenges policymakers, healthcare professionals, researchers, industry leaders, patient organizations, educators, and communities to work together to identify and remove barriers wherever they exist. We want to give a big thank you to everyone who dropped off donations for the Tools 4 School drive!

Between RFSB and the community’s donations we were able to present over 4,500 items including calculators, markers, crayons, pencils, backpacks, folders, notebooks, glue sticks, index cards, scissors, and loose leaf paper!

This program serves our local students and is a vital part of making sure all our students are ready and equipped for school. Thank you again to everyone who contributed this year!

We will continue to collect donations of school supplies for our local Tools for School program through Friday, August 14th. Donations may be dropped off this week from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. inside the bank lobby.

You can make a big difference in the life of a child with even the smallest donation. Thank you for helping our local students get the school supplies they need!

Today, River Falls State Bank was proud to support Grow to Share with a donation of $8,500.00 towards a new storage shed as they transition to their new location.
