Cecil County Farm Bureau

Cecil County Farm Bureau Cecil County Chapter of Maryland Farm Bureau. Maryland Farm Bureau is a private, non-profit membership organization.

It is completely controlled by its members through the democratic process and is financed by voluntary membership dues. Its strength comes from the active participation of over 30,620 member families that belong to the state’s 23 county Farm Bureaus. The American Farm Bureau Federation represents over 6.2 million member families in over 2,800 counties. Farm Bureau’s purpose is to increase net farm

income and improve the quality of life by providing a legislative voice, increasing public understanding and promoting member involvement. The organization helps members accomplish their goals together – something they cannot do alone. The organization’s vision statement reads, "Maryland Farm Bureau shall be recognized as the leading voice of Maryland agriculture and the predominant force in agriculture policy development. Maryland Farm Bureau will be regarded as the most credible source of information and the strongest advocate of safe, environmentally responsible and economically sound food and fiber production."

We need your help.

June is the last month of our fiscal year, and throughout this month we want to highlight how membership in the Maryland Farm Bureau benefits you and your farm.

When we walk into committee rooms to fight for your land, your way of life, and your family's future, our leverage is entirely determined by the members we represent.

If you've benefited from our legislative work but haven't yet joined or renewed, we hope that work has made a difference for you. Now we're asking you to make it official. June is the final month of our fiscal year, and our roster resets. We need you on it.

Don't just follow our fight, back it.

Join or renew your membership today at marylandfb.org

Spring is here which means farmers are back in the fields! 🚜🌽🌱

As you drive, be on the lookout for tractors and Slow Moving Vehicle (SMV) signs that indicate a vehicle is moving under 25mph. When you see an SMV, slow down and increase your following distance. Pass with care and only when safe.

Have patience and do your part to keep your local farmers safe on the roads! Check out Find Me Driving for more safety information!
