Job Summary
Platinum Insurance is seeking an experienced Account Specialist to support both personal and commercial lines insurance operations. This position requires prior insurance agency experience and an active Texas Property & Casualty license. The role is not entry-level and is intended for a licensed professional who is comfortable servicing policies, quoting coverage, handling client communication, and supporting day-to-day agency operations.
As an Account Specialist, you will be responsible for servicing existing accounts, quoting new business that is inbound or internally assigned, assisting clients with policy-related questions, and completing administrative tasks as needed. This is a non-commissioned role, and compensation is based on experience.
Responsibilities
Service existing personal and commercial lines accounts, including endorsements and policy changes
Quote personal and commercial lines insurance policies for inbound inquiries and internally assigned opportunities
Assist clients with coverage questions, policy updates, and general account servicing
Process premium payments and support billing-related inquiries
Utilize insurance management and rating systems such as EZLynx or similar platforms
Maintain accurate policy documentation and account records
Perform administrative and operational tasks to support agency workflow
Collaborate with internal team members to ensure timely and accurate client service
Role Requirements
Active Texas Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
Prior experience working in an insurance agency environment
Experience servicing and quoting insurance policies (personal and/or commercial lines)
Ability to work full-time in an in-office setting in Rio Vista, Texas
Strong understanding of insurance agency processes and workflows
Required Skills & Abilities
Proficiency with insurance rating and management systems (EZLynx or similar preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
Client-focused approach with the ability to explain coverage clearly
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively within a team environment
