EastGroup Properties was proud to support Harbor Day School’s annual Tees for Tots golf tournament. Our team hosted a refreshment stand at the 5th hole, cheering on golfers as they made their way through the course.

Harbor Day School (formerly Little Lighthouse) provides tuition-free education and on-site therapy for children with special needs in Jackson, MS, serving children from birth to age six. Funds raised from this event support their mission and capital campaign to expand their campus and serve even more families.

We’re honored to support such an impactful organization making a difference in our community. 💙

In April, EastGroup Properties brought together property management team members from across all markets for our annual meeting in Orlando! The time was focused on collaboration, learning, and sharing best practices, with updates from corporate teams and breakout sessions designed to strengthen how we serve our clients.

And of course, we made time for a little fun— including a visit to Universal Studios Florida. It was a meaningful few days of connection, growth, and building stronger relationships across markets!

We’re proud to celebrate Jennifer Ryan for her nomination as BOMA Outstanding Member of the Year for the Southwest Region—a highly competitive honor spanning Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Arkansas.

Jennifer’s leadership, dedication, and longstanding involvement with the BOMA San Antonio Executive Committee—as well as her contributions at the Regional and International levels—continue to make a meaningful impact. She is recognized for her persistence, reliability, and deep industry expertise in supporting fellow members.

Eric joined in April as Asset Manager for the Eastern region, where he will support development, asset management, investment, and leasing activities across North and South Carolina.

With 8 years of experience in commercial real estate, Eric brings valuable industry insight to the team. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina.

EastGroup Properties is excited to welcome Jim Traynor as our Executive Vice President of the Central Region. Jim will be based in our Dallas regional office. He brings deep experience in industrial real estate development and investments, further strengthening our leadership team.

Originally from Miami, Jim began his real estate career in New York contributing to various office and retail development projects. He relocated to Dallas in 2018, and he has been active in the industrial real estate market overseeing a variety of impressive development projects. Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree from the University of Florida.

We could not be more excited to have Jim join EastGroup and look forward to the experience and perspective he brings. Please join us in welcoming him to the team!

EastGroup Hosts Tulane Business Students 🎓

In February, we welcomed students from Tulane University’s Freeman School of Business to our corporate office as part of the Burkenroad Reports program. Our management team, including Michelle Rayner, Chief Accounting Officer, shared insights on EastGroup and participated in a Q&A session to support the students’ research and learning.
