So glad our amazing Irene Bernardino was able to participate in this year's cohort of Leadership Ridgecrest! It's a great program where tomorrow's leaders learn all about what goes into making a community work! Irene is exactly who this community needs, and we're blessed and grateful for every single day that we have her!
The Leadership Ridgecrest cohort toured Liberty Ambulance and Ridgecrest Regional Hospital as part of the organization’s “Health Care Day.”
Daphne Unhassobiscay showed the members around the main campus, while Brian Baskin shared an inside glimpse into the life of EMTs and other professionals with the local ambulance company. The visit was capped by lunch and a robust dialog at RRH.
Leadership Ridgecrest, under the direction of Ridgecrest Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Rebecca Goldstein, offers an opportunity for personal and professional development as well as an introduction to the leaders and anchor institutions in our community. Goldstein McCourt, herself a graduate of the program, revived the academy after COVID.
This year’s class is wrapping up for the year, and putting the finishing touches on its “Snacks in Packs” program to provide food to vulnerable students when school is out of session. RRH, one of many contributors to the program, gave $1,000 toward the effort.
