One of the things I value most is being involved in a community that cares deeply for its people.
This weekend, I had the privilege of attending the CASA Gala on Saturday where the work to support children in need was highlighted. From the event, I learned that in 2025 there were 686 reported cases of child abuse or neglect between Madison, Clark, Estill, Lee, and Owsley counties which our CASA supports.
On Sunday I had the opportunity to attend the Walk to End Alzheimer's in Lexington. As Edward Jones has been a National Presenting Sponsor since 2016, this event is not only dear to myself, but the firm. There is incredible work being done to support those living with the disease, their caregivers, and families.
It is inspiring to see so many people dedicate their time, resources, and energy to these wonderful events this weekend to enact lasting change. I am beyond proud to support these efforts and am grateful for everyone who makes them possible.
Let's get our there and support where we can in our own communities!

When you think about saving, sometimes milestones may feel out of reach. It's easy to focus on wanting your first million, but often the hardest and one of the most significant milestones is the first $100,000.
When I tell that to people starting on their financial journey, it is almost always followed with an immediate :"Why?" So, let me tell you the secret. Your first $100k comes from discipline and creating good habits that build a foundation for compounding.
While it may feel slow, the significance is crucial. Keep saving, staying invested, and trusting the process are the habits that get you not only your first $100k, but can help build lasting wealth.
Keep going. Your future self will thank you. If you need help creating a plan or sticking to it, get in touch.

I enjoyed reading this recent Kiplinger article featuring our Head of Wealth Management and Field Management, David Chubak. One point that stood out to me is how many families are balancing long-term goals with desire to support loved ones today.

It’s something that often comes up in conversations with clients, whether it’s helping adult children with housing expenses, student debt or other financial challenges. As David notes, "The reality is we live in an age of financial uncertainty and anxiety like no other." Having open conversations and a thoughtful plan can help families navigate those decisions with greater confidence.

Enjoyed a fantastic Monday at Arlington with the First Christian Church youth Programs! Beyond grateful to have been able to play and sponsor a hole all while supporting a great group of kids and be part of such a supportive community. Hoping this organization continues to create the positive impact on the lives of many for generations to come, as I know my experience with them was a fantastic one!

As a financial advisor, I’ve seen how health challenges can affect not only individuals, but entire families.

That's why I’m proud to recognize the work of the Alzheimer’s Association and the impact our communities can make when we come together. Through Edward Jones' strategic alliance with the organization and our sponsorship of the Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, we've helped raise more than $63 million to support critical research, education and support programs.

Our moment is now to continue driving progress and help create a future free from Alzheimer’s.

I'll be walking with my colleagues here in Lexington, KY - where will you join the fight from?

Over the weekend I had the privilege to attend Hope's Wings Mountain Moonlight Gala with my sister, partner, and friends. It was an inspiring evening supporting an organization rooted in the safety of our community and providing resources and hope to survivors of domestic violence.
I'm blessed to have the opportunity to support this important cause and join forces with all our Madison County offices to have Edward Jones be the presenting sponsor of this event crucial to the funding and success of the impact Hope's Wings makes on this community.
Events, like these, are a powerful reminder of the impact we can create when we invest in the well-being of those around us!

When I talk with clients about retirement, the conversation goes beyond numbers pretty quickly. Yes, we plan for income, savings and longevity — but we also talk about what your days will look like, who you’ll spend time with and what will give you a sense of purpose.

If you’re thinking about retirement, let’s make sure you’re prepared for both sides of the equation.

Retirement is more than a financial milestone. It is a psychological transition. Learn how to design the next phase of your life with purpose.

Why cash may not be as safe as you think...
When people think about financial risk, cash is often not on the forefront of their mind. Yet, holding too much money in cash for too long can be a big risk to your financial planning.
Now, don't get me wrong - cash is important for many reasons: emergency funds, short-term goals, and liquidity. However, large cash holdings might cause you to slowly lose the battle to inflation. Over time, rising prices can reduce the power of what your money can buy. Therefore, large cash holdings might not always be the best answer.
Do you have a large amount sitting in cash? Let's talk about some ideas to limit risk, but also preserve your purchasing power.
