There is a reason the Down Home Family Reunion is held in Historic Jackson Ward.

Known as the "Harlem of the South," Jackson Ward has long been a center of African American history, entrepreneurship, music, and culture. It is a place where generations have built community, preserved traditions, and shaped the story of Richmond.

Get ready to two-step and celebrate Louisiana style with Dikki Du & The Zydeco Krewe on the Zeke Allison Main Stage at the 35th Down Home Family Reunion.

Led by Troy "Dikki Du" Carrier, a member of one of Louisiana's legendary Zydeco families, the band delivers an authentic sound that will have you dancing from the very first note. Their performance is preceded by a Zydeco dance lesson, so everyone can join the fun.
