Important update for our Wayne County neighbors on Medicare Advantage 📢
As of July 25, Anthem ended its network relationship with Meridian Health Services for Medicare Advantage members — not just Medicaid, as some of the early reporting suggested. If you or a loved one has been seeing a Meridian provider for primary care, behavioral health, or any other service, this is worth paying attention to.
Here's what I want you to know:
✅ If you're mid-treatment with a Meridian provider, ask Anthem about continuity-of-care protections — plans are often required to give you a transition window.
✅ This typically isn't a Special Enrollment Period-qualifying event on its own, so a plan change isn't automatically available. But you deserve accurate information either way.
