Through our Halloween costume contest this year, we are giving back to the communities we serve and having fun while doing it!

• Each employee on this post is dressed up for a regional charity that gives back to others!

• You can find the regional charity on the top of their photo.
This year's regional charities are:

-Greater Triad: American Cancer Society
-Piedmont: Blue Ridge Area Food Bank
-Hampton Roads: ForKids
-Central Virginia: Art for The Journey
-Northern Neck: The Haven Shelter & Services, Inc.
-Central Valley: American Heart Association - Virginia

• Each 'like' a photo receives is considered a vote. You can vote for more than one!

• We need your help selecting the winning charity. Our staff member or group with the most votes/likes will be the winners, and the organization they are dressed up for will earn $1 for each like. We will donate the combined total of likes for that charity's set of photos to the charity - up to $1,000!

Our Halloween Costume contest is tomorrow and our final charity we are highlighting is Art for The Journey.

Art for the Journey delivers best-practice visual art programs to under-resourced communities across Central Virginia. Through a robust partnership model, they collaborate with community organizations and institutions to best reach populations that are marginalized or under-resourced.

Our next charity we would like to highlight is ForKids chosen by our Hampton Roads region. Their mission is breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty They are working toward a future where all families have a place to call home – because when families are secure, communities are stronger.

The mission of the American Cancer Society is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer. Our Greater Triad region has chosen the American Cancer Society as their charity for our Halloween Costume Contest on Friday.

The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank's mission is to improve food security through equitable access to good nutrition and the resources that support health and well-being. Their service area spans 25 counties and eight cities, with distribution centers in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Wi******er, and Verona.

Only 4 days until our Halloween Costume Contest! Our Central Valley region has chosen The American Heart Association - Virginia as their charity. The American Heart Association has grown into the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. It’s almost time for our Halloween Costume Contest Our Northern Neck region has selected The Haven Shelter & Services, Inc. as their charity. The Haven is committed to preventing and eliminating intimate partner violence, stalking, and sexual violence in Westmoreland, Richmond, Essex, Lancaster and Northumberland Counties.
