Here are five things to know about PRF insurance: 🚜🌾

1. PRF is an area based product, allowing producers to select from index grids nearest their operation.

2. Producers then select two month index intervals.

3. Coverage levels are selected between 70 and 90 percent in 5 percent increments, as well as a productivity factor between 60% and 150%.

4. The producer may receive an indemnity payment if precipitation falls below the average for the index interval chosen.

Introducing the new social media for our Crop, Livestock, and PRF (Pasture Rangeland and Forage) Insurance services.

Gary Vandiver is the former owner of a 2 million bushel grain elevator and retail agriculture facility 25 miles East of Kansas City Missouri. This facility had been in the Vandiver family since 1968 but it was time for us to move on and prioritize other aspects of our family businesses. Gary may not be buying and selling grain any longer but his passion of helping farmers manage their risk so they can achieve maximum revenue every crop year is what he loves to do. That is why Gary retained his crop insurance business and moved it to an office in Richmond, Missouri. We also offer Livestock Risk Protection, Hail Insurance, and Rain Select products. He also enjoys the challenges of animal agriculture and spending time helping grow his families beef cattle operations. We have a small herd of Registered Cows and Commercial Cows and would like to grow that part of our business on top of growing value added cattle that we currently buy and sell to packers and individuals in the area.

We look forward to serving more farmers day by day and we are excited to engage with more farmers all over the country.
