Learning, connecting, and having a little fun in Washington, D.C.! 🇺🇸

Members of the Patterson & Associates team had the opportunity to attend AppliedNet26 last week, and it was a great few days of learning, networking, and discovering new ways technology can help us better serve our clients and work more efficiently as a team.

Of course, we couldn’t go to D.C. without making a few memories along the way! From taking in the sights at National Harbor to a ride on the Capital Wheel — and even a couple of pretty great caricatures — we made the most of our time together.

One of the things we value at Patterson & Associates is continuing to learn, grow, and bring new ideas back to our agency. Conferences like AppliedNet give our team the opportunity to do exactly that — while strengthening the relationships that make our team so special.

We’re heading home inspired, energized, and ready to put what we learned into action!

October's to-do list starts with Medicare Part D notices, which are due before the 15th for any employer offering prescription drug coverage.

From there, smaller employers need to get required notices out, and larger employers should review open enrollment materials for ERISA and ACA compliance.

Team building meets continuing education! 🤝⚖️

Berkley Southwest and McCathern, Shokouhi, Evans put together a mock trial for our team, based on a real 2010 dram shop case. Some of us took the stand as witnesses, the rest of us deliberated as the jury, and all of us walked away knowing more about liquor liability than when we walked in.

Thank you both for such a fun (and educational!) day!
