I used to think the D Best award was just a popularity contest and after enough time or making enough ‘friends’ you would get ‘picked’. Once I started doing more work I pretty quickly realized that not all Loan Officers knew what they were doing, and doing it well meant a lot to more than just the homebuyer. Doing my job well is important to the Realtors, the Insurance Agents, and the Title Officers we work with and the ones I work with think I’m one of the best (or at least the top 3 they know, that’s how many they get to nominate 🤣).

The Mortgage Bankers Association is forecasting rates to be in the low 6’s next spring, but when rates come down many real estate professionals are expecting demand to spike and home prices to rise sharply. Is it worth paying $200 more a month for a while, then refinance, in order to get your next home for $10,000 cheaper than it could be if rates come down next spring? 🤔
