Rates are going down and conventional loan limits are going up - now that is GREAT News! This means buyers can purchase a higher-priced home and not need jumbo financing. It also means those who had to take out a jumbo loan might now benefit from refinancing into a conventional loan.

The official new limits are announced later in the year but lenders are already estimating what those limits will be and are allowing us to lock loans using the higher amounts.

A conventional loan up to $1,543,900 on a 4-plex? Yes, it's on the list below. And as a side note, the down payment could be 5% if the buyers are going to occupy one of the units.
