🏡 Friday Reno Mortgage Update
Big market news this morning: the U.S. added 162,000 jobs in August, nearly triple what economists expected.
That’s great news for employment—but stronger economic data can put upward pressure on mortgage rates because it gives the Federal Reserve more room to keep interest rates elevated.
Treasury yields moved higher immediately after the report.
If you're buying a home in Reno, Sparks or Northern Nevada, this is a good time to update your financing before writing an offer.
And remember: seller credits and rate buydowns can sometimes make a meaningful difference in your monthly payment.
