Comstock Insurance Agencies, Inc Independent Insurance Agent In 1957, John Sweatt founded Comstock Insurance in Reno, Nevada. In fact, we’ve been evolving since we opened our doors.

While we’ve been a part of this community for nearly 60 years, we have changed. Today, there is still a John Sweatt in the President’s office – but we call him J.R. (son of the original). We’re still family-owned, still independent and still customer-focused, but now our products include things like cyber security and data breach coverage – products John senior could never have imagined.
