Newaygo County Farm Bureau was proud to organize grain bin rescue training for the Fremont, Hesperia, Sand Lake, Cedar Springs and Croton Fire Departments through the Safety and Technical Rescue Association. We also donated grain bin rescue tubes and rescue augers to the Fremont and Sand Lake Fire Departments for use in our local communities. Thank you to Keystone Cooperative for hosting the event and the Michigan Foundation for Agriculture for sponsoring the training and equipment.

Mecosta, Montcalm, Newaygo and Osceola County Farm Bureaus were proud to partner with Ferris State University to host a Farm Bureau tailgate at Ferris’s home opener football game.

The counties engaged with over 100 students and community members in interactive activities including a dairy milking simulator, deer archery game, and snacks made from locally grown commodities! We also were joined by 70 Farm Bureau members at the game, and were recognized on field in appreciation of Michigan agriculture. Go Dawgs!
