Ever caught yourself saying, “I was just doing my job”? 👀

The everyday things you do—solving problems, helping teammates, improving processes, or handling difficult situations—can reveal valuable skills that deserve recognition.

When updating your resume or preparing for an interview, 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗶𝗱. 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗲.

Your experience doesn't have to be extraordinary to be worth highlighting. Sometimes, your greatest strengths are the ones you've become so used to that you no longer notice them.

🤖 “𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸?”

It might be one of the most revealing interview questions of 2026.

And the best answer probably isn't:

“𝗜 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆.”

Employers don't just need to know 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 you use AI. They need to understand 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁.

Do you use it to save time?
Solve problems?
Automate repetitive work?
Brainstorm ideas?
Analyze information?

More importantly, 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗶𝘁?

For candidates, the goal isn't to sound like an AI expert. Be honest about how you actually use the technology and explain the difference it has made in your work.

For employers, don't stop at “Do you use AI?” Ask the follow-up questions that reveal judgment, creativity, problem-solving, and how someone verifies what AI produces.

Because knowing how to use AI is becoming valuable.

Today, as we recognize 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗯𝘂𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 and 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀’ 𝗗𝗮𝘆, we have an opportunity to reflect on exploration, the journeys that shaped history, the Indigenous peoples whose histories and cultures long predate those journeys, and the many perspectives that continue to influence how we understand the past.

As we look back, we can also look forward—embracing curiosity, learning from history, and recognizing the diverse people, cultures, and experiences that have helped shape our world.

At 𝗣𝗼𝗽-𝗨𝗽 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁, we believe progress begins with curiosity, learning, respect, and openness to new perspectives.

Mental well-being is an important part of a healthy workplace.

Creating an environment where people feel supported, respected, and comfortable speaking up can make a meaningful difference—not only in employee well-being, but also in how teams collaborate, perform, and grow.

At 𝗣𝗼𝗽-𝗨𝗽 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁, we believe stronger workplaces are built by recognizing the people behind the work and creating space for them to thrive.

Today is a good reminder to check in, listen, and lead with empathy.

A healthy workplace is about more than wellness programs. It’s about realistic workloads, clear expectations, psychological safety, healthy boundaries, supportive communication, and access to help when employees need it.

Mental health at work isn’t just something employees should manage on their own. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲.

There’s no shortage of AI tools promising to make recruiting faster, easier, and more efficient.

But here’s the part that often gets overlooked:

𝗔 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁.

Without the right training, recruiters may not know how to get the most out of the technology—or worse, use it in ways that create more work instead of less.

The real advantage comes from combining 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲.

At Pop-Up Talent, we believe AI should support recruiters, not replace the judgment, relationships, and strategy that make great recruiting work.

What if your hiring process is quietly pushing them away?

A 20-minute application.
A lengthy assessment.
Five rounds of interviews.
A week waiting for a response.
A job description with 15 “required” qualifications.

Each one might seem reasonable on its own.

Together, they can make a great candidate think:

“𝗜’𝗺 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁.”

The best candidates are evaluating your company too. They’re looking at how you communicate, how quickly you move, and how much you respect their time.

Before concluding that “the talent pool is weak,” take a hard look at the process.
