But I don’t want to finish it alone.

For a first book, beta readers are the closest thing I have to an editorial team. They’re the people who get to tell me what lands, what misses, what needs another pass, and whether the whole thing works the way I hope it does.

I’m looking for 20 people to help me do that.

Some books carry more weight than others.

This one was written by a man whose story started on the Spokane River in North Idaho and led him into a life most people will never understand. He became one of the most legendary figures in motorcycle club history in the Pacific Northwest and around the world.

He was also riding side by side with my father the night he was killed.

At 53, I built the room I couldn't find. The doctrine origin for Still Building, the brotherhood community for men 40 and older who aren't chasing the last 40 years. They want to build the next 40 with intention.

Eight years ago I was 70 pounds overweight. Eighteen months ago I started the internal work. I tried every community, every app, every food prep service. The rooms were always empty. There was no heart.

So I built the room.

This is what Still Building is. This is why it exists. This is the door.

Sometimes a song comes on and you cannot carry the weight of it.

So you push it away. Then the next one finds the same wound from a different direction, and all you can do is laugh through the ache because the heart still knows the road.
