Big news for cattle producers!

USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins has announced the "Ranchers First Initiative," a new push to rebuild the American cattle herd, which is currently at a 75-year low.

Highlights include:
✅ A new BRAND insurance endorsement for Livestock Risk Protection, letting producers insure the value of keeping a heifer for breeding instead of sending her to market
✅ A $500 million loan program to expand regional beef processing
✅ Disaster recovery flexibility for ranchers rebuilding after emergencies
✅ New support for beginning and veteran ranchers

The heifer retention endorsement doesn't have a rollout date yet, but we're watching closely since it could be a valuable tool for our cattle producers.
