Clement Fire UPDATE: As of 3:15 PM the Evacuation WARNING for Zone HAP-7960 is being removed. This zone is now in a NORMAL status.
The Evacuation ORDERS for Zones HAP-7800, HAP-7930, and HAP-7940 are now being reduced to WARNINGS. These status changes can be found by going to https://protect.genasys.com/search
The road closures are also being removed.
Fire crews remain in the area so residents returning to their homes should exercise caution. Non-residents are urged to avoid the area so as not to interfere with fire crews.
The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office and our public safety partners would like to thank the public for their cooperation during this incident.

For the Clement Fire burning in the Hawthorne Avenue and China Gulch area of Happy Valley. An Evacuation ORDER is being issued for Zones HAP-7800, HAP-7930, and HAP-7940. This is an order to leave now.

- (New assist) CAL FIRE is assisting Mount Shasta Fire Department with a vegetation fire. Fire is between 5-7 acres and burning in timber and brush.  No evacuations at this time the cause remains under investigation.

UPDATE: as of 9 PM the following updates are being made to Evacuation Orders and Warnings.

The following Zone remains under an Evacuation ORDER:
KES-2790

The following Zones are now in an Evacuation WARNING:
SHS-6520, SHS-6530-A, SHS-6530-B, SHS-6540-A, SHS-6540-B, SHS-2830, SHS-2820, SHS-2850, SHS-2800, SHS-2870, KES-2780, KES-2770, KES-2760

The previous Evacuation WARNINGS for the following Zones are being lifted:
SHS-2890, SHS-2880, KES-2900, KES-2750
These zones are now in a NORMAL status.

Those returning home should be aware of fire crews that are continuing to work in the area and exercise caution. Those who remain under an Evacuation WARNING should be aware of the potential of changing fire conditions.

The Evacuation Shelter at Central Valley High School. 4066 La Mesa Avenue, City of Shasta Lake is closing due to no evacuees using the facility.

Current road closures include:
Iron Mountain Road is closed to all traffic between Sanders Lane and Highway 299.

Lower Springs Road between Highway 299 and Valparaiso are open to residents ONLY.

At this time, Highway 299 West is closed to traffic between the community of Old Shasta and Eureka Way and Buenaventura Blvd. in Redding. 1 way controlled traffic is expected to begin soon.
