Well, will you look at that? Two in a row. Team Dolling is officially on a newsletter streak. We've missed sharing the fantastic stories happening right here in our own backyard, and when good stuff like this keeps popping up, it's pretty easy to find our way back to the keyboard.

🌻 STILL BLOOMING 🌻
If there's one thing we've learned about Haley Ray over the years, it's that you shouldn't expect her to sit still for long. This community-minded entrepreneur is always dreaming, learning, listening, and finding another way to grow.

She opened Tehama Floral Company in 2017—in her early twenties, no less—starting out of her garage with flowers, a whole lot of determination, and a BIG dream. Nine years later, that little idea has grown into one of Tehama County's most recognizable local businesses.

And our girl Haley just keeps flexing those wings. Fresh flowers led to weddings and events. Then came houseplants, silk arrangements, wreaths, gifts, workshops, business décor subscriptions, and more.

One storefront quickly became two. And now? Make that THREE.

Tehama Floral Company has officially expanded into the neighboring suites at Frontier Village, and Haley's latest undertaking takes the business in a whole new direction. We're talking retail, baby. Clothing. Shoes. Purses. Jewelry. Accessories. Gifts. And because Haley has no interest in doing anything halfway, there's even a create-your-own Candle Bar.

"I've always dreamed of expanding Tehama Floral Company and bringing a boutique to this side of the river," Haley said. "Over the years, I've listened closely to what our customers wanted and have tried to grow alongside the needs of our community."

That part feels important. Because while Tehama Floral has certainly grown in square footage, inventory, and offerings over the years, the heart behind it hasn't really changed. Haley has simply continued finding new ways to take care of people.

The new boutique carries women's clothing from small through 2X, with select pieces available in 3X and 4X. Shoppers will find everything from loungewear, jogger sets, and graphic tees to dressier tops and fan-favorite Judy Blue Jeans. There are shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories, plus plenty of those fun little gifts you didn't know you needed until you spotted them—including nostalgic candy, paint kits, and the shop's ever-popular squishies.

But for Haley, the clothing side isn't just about filling racks. "What excites me most is helping women feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful," she said.

Personal style is exactly that—personal. Some women love relaxed and oversized, while others prefer something more fitted. Haley loves figuring out what makes each woman feel most like herself.

"There's nothing better than watching someone walk out feeling confident in what they're wearing."

And if you know Haley, that makes perfect sense. Her "why" has always been rooted in how people feel.

For nearly a decade, Tehama Floral has been invited into some of this community's biggest moments. Haley and her team have created wedding bouquets and anniversary arrangements, celebrated new babies and birthdays, delivered "thinking of you" flowers, and helped families honor loved ones during some of their hardest days. Now, they're helping you find the perfect outfit for vacation, a casual and cozy matching set, or those new favorite jeans. Different product—same heart.

Even better, the flower shop and boutique are directly connected, opening up some pretty fabulous gifting possibilities. Customers can now pair boutique goodies with floral deliveries. Gift cards also work across both spaces, and the original floral side isn't going anywhere. The team continues to deliver fresh flowers daily, create custom sympathy pieces, handle weddings and events, stock the walk-in cooler with grab-and-go arrangements, offer plants and silk creations, and host floral workshops year-round.

Haley still considers herself a florist first. "I always joke that I'm just playing boutique owner," she said.

Well, we're not buying it. Because when you zoom out, this latest expansion feels like a natural next chapter for a young entrepreneur who has never been afraid to try something new. Since that first ribbon cutting in October 2017, a whole lot has changed. The business has grown, Haley has grown, and Tehama County has been right there cheering her on. She's the first to credit that support.

"Every bouquet ordered, every class attended, every gift purchased, and every kind word has helped us continue to grow," she said. "We are truly honored to serve Tehama County, and we're excited for what's ahead."

And THAT is the kind of local business story we love to tell. A garage. A dream. Nearly a decade tucked under her belt. And an entrepreneur who keeps finding new ways to grow and bloom right here at home.

Congratulations on your next chapter, Haley. We can't wait to see what you dream up next. Tehama Floral Company and its new connected boutique are located at 645 Antelope Blvd., Suites 8, 10, and 12 in Red Bluff's Frontier Village. The boutique is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. Haley and her dynamite team are also hosting a special Ribbon Cutting Celebration this Thursday (8/20).

The BINGO-SIGNAL has officially been fired into the Tehama County sky, and your mission—should you choose to accept it—is to suit up and report to Enjoy Local for another action-packed night of NOT CHO' GRANDMA'S BINGO.

This month, we're joining forces to raise funds for SACRED HEART SCHOOL. And if anyone qualifies for superhero status, it's educators. They wrangle tiny humans, decipher questionable handwriting, survive playground duty, answer 437 questions before lunch, AND somehow still teach them stuff. No cape required. It's back-to-school season, so we're using our powers for good and helping support local education.

Well . . . it's been a minute. Okay, if we're being honest, it's been quite a few minutes since our last Community First Newsletter found its way onto this page.

The past year pulled the Dollings in a few different directions as we stepped into big leadership roles with Red Bluff Rotary and the Red Bluff Elks. They were incredible experiences, but they also meant something had to give—and for a little while, this newsletter did.

Now that those seasons have come to a close, life has settled back into a more normal rhythm, and we're feeling the pull again.

The pull to tell the stories that deserve to be told.
The pull to celebrate the people quietly making a difference.
The pull to shine a light on all the good that's brewing.
So consider this the official COMMUNITY FIRST reboot.

🏐 CREATING IMPACT 🏐
If you've spent any time around youth sports in Red Bluff, chances are you've heard of Bucky's. For years, Bucky's has been about so much more than sports—it's been about building confidence, character, and community. Now, that same mission has made its way to the volleyball court with the launch of Bucky's Impact Club Volleyball, a program rooted in the belief that athletics have the power to shape lives long after the final whistle.

Serving female athletes from elementary school through high school, Bucky's Impact offers club teams, developmental programs, camps, clinics, and training opportunities for a variety of skill levels. Their primary club season takes place during the winter and spring, allowing athletes to continue developing during the sport’s school off-season. But while volleyball is what brings everyone together, the founders will tell you the game is only a fraction of the story.

Impact Club Volleyball was born from a shared passion for youth development and a desire to create more opportunities for local athletes. Co-founder Carly Martinez knows firsthand what volleyball can offer. A Red Bluff High School standout, she continued her playing career at Shasta College and Simpson University before returning to coach both Red Bluff Club Volleyball and Simpson University Volleyball. Along the way, she saw too many local athletes forced to leave the area to find higher-level club competition and continued skill development.

Co-founder Aubrie Thomas brings a different but super complementary perspective to this dynamic partnership. A lifelong multi-sport athlete, she knows firsthand how sports build confidence and character. Around Red Bluff, she's known as a rock-solid business owner, coach, and one of the community's biggest champions for young athletes. If you've ever survived one of her gym classes, you know she's equal parts encouragement, accountability, and humor (usually delivered while your legs are begging for mercy). It's that same passion she's now pouring into our next generation of athletes.

When Martinez approached Thomas with the idea of creating a local club volleyball program, the response was immediate.

"I'm all in."

That simple reaction was all it took. Bucky's Impact Volleyball was born in 2025 with a vision to provide local athletes with quality coaching, meaningful competition, and the opportunity to grow—all without leaving home. Throughout the season, athletes practice several times each week, focusing on fundamentals, position-specific training, game strategy, teamwork, communication, and overall volleyball IQ. Teams compete in local tournaments, and as the program continues to grow, opportunities to participate in larger events in places like Reno, Lake Tahoe, and Oregon are forthcoming.

But ask the founders what success looks like, and you'll quickly discover it isn't measured by tournament finishes.

"What makes us most proud isn't the medals, trophies, or tournament outcomes," Martinez said. "It's watching our athletes gain confidence, build friendships, overcome challenges, and discover what they're capable of accomplishing through hard work and dedication."

That philosophy is reflected in every practice and every conversation. Leadership, accountability, resilience, work ethic, coachability, and confidence are valued just as highly as serving, passing, and hitting. The goal is for every athlete to leave not only as a stronger volleyball player but as a stronger human.

Thomas believes those lessons extend far beyond the court. "Our 'why' comes from a shared belief in the power of sports to change lives," she said. "If we can help develop strong athletes and even stronger people, then we're accomplishing exactly what we set out to do."

At its core, Impact is about giving every athlete a chance to grow. It doesn't matter if it's your first day on the court or you've been playing for years. The expectation is the same: show up, work hard, be coachable, and keep getting better. The founders believe that's how great athletes—and great people—are made.

For young women who aren't quite ready to commit to a full club season, clinics and summer camps provide an opportunity to meet the coaches, sharpen their skills, and experience firsthand what Impact is all about.

In fact, their biggest camp of the summer is just around the corner. While the older age group has already filled, incoming third- through fifth-grade athletes still have time to jump in. The camp takes place July 21-22 at the Red Bluff High School Spartan Pavilion, where just $50 buys two jam-packed days of skills, drills, and plenty of fun. Spend a few minutes around Bucky’s Impact Club Volleyball, and their mission becomes pretty easy to spot. Martinez and Thomas aren't looking for perfect athletes. They're looking for kids who hustle, stay coachable, encourage their teammates, and never stop learning. The volleyball skills will come. Building confidence, character, and resilience is the bigger win.

And perhaps that's exactly what the founders had in mind all along. They're not simply building volleyball players—they're helping shape the next generation of leaders who will one day make their own IMPACT on this community.

It’s been a hot minute — but we’re back with our very first COMMUNITY FIRST NEWSLETTER of 2026! Inside, you’ll find a fresh lineup of local happenings, bright spots, and a brand-new event that’s already brimming with heart. Dive in to catch up on what’s rolling out from our community-minded friends at Reynolds Ranch & Farm Supply — there’s a lot to LOVE. ❤

A LITTLE WHISKEY, A LOT OF HEART
If you’ve been around Red Bluff for any length of time, you’ve probably noticed something about Reynolds Ranch and Farm Supply. They don’t come out waving flags or shouting about all they do. Instead, they quietly keep pulling good ideas out of the cowboy hat — ideas that lift, support, and connect our little town in meaningful ways.

From stepping up behind the scenes to showing up more and more at community tables, Reynolds Ranch continues to lean wholeheartedly into Red Bluff. And while many of us look forward each year to their beloved Red Bluff Round-Up Mixer, they’re now saddling up something brand new — and it’s shaping up to be their latest and greatest gathering yet. Introducing Whiskey in the Warehouse.

Happening Saturday, February 28th, from 6 to 9 pm, this innovative event will take place right at Reynolds Ranch and Farm Supply, 501 Madison Street in Red Bluff. It’s a 21-and-over evening designed to bring people together for a night of whiskey cocktail tasting, music, and good old-fashioned community connection.

The idea behind Whiskey in the Warehouse was simple and heartfelt. At its core, it’s about connection. This driven business is creating opportunities for people to gather, share a laugh, and feel a little more rooted in the place they call home. For the team at Reynolds Ranch and Farm Supply, building community isn’t a side project — it’s part of who they are.

“This event is really about community,” said Melissa Rogers of Reynolds Ranch and Farm Supply. “We wanted to create something fun that brings people together while also giving back to the town that means so much to us.”

And that “giving back” piece is where this event really shines. After covering any event-related costs, the top two People’s Choice tasting winners will split the remaining proceeds and direct those funds toward a club or community project of their choice. It’s a way to turn great cocktails and friendly competition into meaningful support for multiple homegrown causes.

A growing lineup of local organizations and businesses is already forming, including Red Bluff Rotary with Applebee's, Corning Rotary, Red Bluff Kiwanis Club, Red Bluff 20-30 Club, Red Bluff Elks Lodge, Araceli Gutierrez with Oak Creek Ranch, Arrowsmith Honey, Lassen Transit, Rolling Hills, Green Barn Whiskey Kitchen, Sunset Bakery, Round Up Saloon, and Wilcox Oaks Golf Club. And the list keeps growing by the day — with plenty of room for a few more community-minded partners who want to saddle up and join the fun.

Ticket holders can expect an evening packed with great energy and even better company. Each guest will receive four tasting tickets to visit tables of their choice, with appetizers available along the way — and additional tasting tickets can be purchased for those looking to sample a little more. If you’re still feeling hungry or thirsty, Whiskey Kitchen will be on site with a food truck and cash bar. Add in live music by Band of Brothers, a mechanical bull, and a room full of familiar faces, and you’ve got all the ingredients for a seriously fun night.

For Reynolds Ranch, this first year is just the beginning. They’re excited to see Whiskey in the Warehouse take shape and are hopeful it becomes an annual tradition that brings people together while reinvesting meaningful dollars back into the community they love.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online now (HERE). In-person ticket sales will begin January 23rd at The Loft. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Once again, Reynolds Ranch and Farm Supply reminds us that community leadership doesn’t always come with a microphone. Sometimes it looks like opening your doors, trusting a new idea, and inviting your neighbors in for a good time — all for the greater good.

We’ll see you in the warehouse. 🥃
