Alpha Funding was founded in 2007 to meet the financing needs of the real estate investment market throughout the tri-state area. As credit markets have tightened traditional financing for investment and development projects have become scarce. Alpha has enabled its borrowers to capitalize on various opportunities including rehabs, REO’s, foreclosures, new construction and various other value added projects. Alpha Funding utilizes over 30 years of combined real estate experience to evaluate its projects. Our team has been involved in the approvals, development,and construction of both residential and commercial projects over the years. Tonight, the Alpha Funding team is heading to another event, and I'm looking forward to this one.

Mariano Coccoz is taking us behind the scenes of actual fix-and-flip projects here in New Jersey. Not just the wins, but the numbers, the challenges, the mistakes, and everything that happens between buying a property and selling it.

I've always said there's a lot to learn from people who are actually out there doing the work.

Last week was a busy one for the Alpha Funding team.

We hosted our networking event in Nutley, walked projects in Livingston, Franklin Lakes, Glen Rock and Fair Lawn, and spent a lot of time talking with investors who are actually out there doing deals.

And it reminded me of something pretty simple:

Relationships matter in this business.

A lot of the best opportunities I’ve seen over the years started with a conversation. Someone introduced you to a contractor. A Realtor brought you a deal. Another investor pointed you toward a market. A lender helped you figure out how to get something done.

One conversation turns into another, and sometimes years later you can trace a big part of your business back to one introduction.

So get out there. Walk the projects. Go to the events. Meet people. Make introductions. And help someone out when you can.

Real estate might be the investment vehicle, but people are what drive this business forward.

That’s something we’ll always believe in at Alpha Funding.
