Even if you don’t like Trump this is something we all should be happy about.

As a health insurance broker I see it all the time, hospitals charging you different amounts based on how much your insurance will pay.

All for the exact same procedure:
Cash pay price =$4000
United healthcare price = $18,000
Aetna price = $16,500

Hospitals do this because they know that UHC will pay up to $18,000 and Aetna will pay up to $16,500 so they charge them that amount, instead of the actual price which is $4000.

This leads to higher monthly premiums, and worse coverage.

Hopefully this will help lower and make medical expenses more competitive.
