January is National Financial Wellness Month, which means it's a great time to examine your money habits, priorities, and peace of mind.

Financial wellness isn't about being perfect with money. It’s about building a life that feels stable, supported, and sustainable—whatever that looks like for you.

That might mean:
📝 Reflecting on your current goals
🔁 Making small changes to your budget
📅 Automating your savings
💬 Checking in with someone you trust

No matter where you are in your journey, your financial health matters.

The start of a new year is a great time to step back and look at the bigger picture. A few small reviews early in the year may help you stay organized and ready for what’s ahead.

Here are three simple ways to start:
1️⃣ Reassess coverage and protection needs to make sure they reflect your current situation and priorities.
2️⃣ Review budgets and savings habits to see if recent changes in expenses or income call for updates.
3️⃣ Set short-term milestones that make progress easier to track and adjustments easier to manage.

Taking time to revisit these areas may help create structure and awareness for the year ahead.

Wishing you a healthy and productive New Year!

Medicare’s standard Part B premium is set to rise 9.7% in 2026, reaching $202.90 per month—the first time the premium will exceed $200. The annual deductible is also increasing to $283, up from $257.

Because the Part B premium is deducted from most Social Security checks, this increase will offset part of the 2.8% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) scheduled for next year. According to the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, the higher premium will absorb roughly one-third of the COLA, and some beneficiaries with lower monthly payments may see little or no net increase.

These updates provide a clearer understanding of how healthcare costs and retirement benefits intersect as we head into 2026.

A higher Medicare Part B premium in 2026 could erode next year's cost-of-living adjustment for Social Security recipients, experts say.
