Your credit score is not the only thing that can affect your home-buying experience. One of the main factors when purchasing a home is Debt-To-Income (DTI) Ratio. A borrower's DTI represents the total debt they owe each month compared to the total amount earned each month.
It is measured as the percentage of your monthly gross income that goes to paying your monthly debt payments. The lower your DTI the better your chances are of being approved.

DTI Ratio = Total Monthly Debt ÷ Total Gross Monthly Income x 100
