Breast cancer affects women of every background, and early detection can make a significant difference in outcomes. Some women, predominantly black women, experience higher diagnosis of aggressive forms of breast cancer and higher mortality rates, it is important for all women to prioritize breast health and regular screenings.

Most women ages 40–74 are advised to get screened every 2 years, and high risk women may need to start earlier. To help you take control of your health journey, we invite you to participate in the NIA Breast Cancer Campaign.

Nia is a free tool that guides you through questions about family history, genetics, and past screenings to help you understand your personal risk and what steps to take next.
