Running a business solo means there’s no one down the hall to sanity-check your ideas. That part surprised me.

I decided pretty early on to use business coaching and mentoring resources—not because anything was “wrong,” but because I didn’t want to build everything by trial and error. Having an outside perspective has been huge.

If you’re a solopreneur, there are some really solid free resources out there (SCORE, SBDCs, local business groups) that don’t get talked about enough and are actually worth your time.

Getting support isn’t a weakness. It’s just being smart!
