JRW Associates was founded July 1, 1991, by Randy Willis in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a long-standing insurance industry executive, Randy was troubled by the observation that employers were not getting the customized employee benefits advice they needed to get the solutions that best fit their specific needs. On one end were captive agents buckling under the pressure of selling products to meet

corporate quotas. On the other end were small companies that lacked access to the full array of solutions that could help businesses meet their needs at competitive rates. Randy’s vision, which remains true today, was to build a great organization that focuses on the specific benefits and insurance needs of their clients, and works tirelessly to deliver the best solutions at the most affordable rates. At JRW Associates, Randy and the team make it a priority to make sure their clients understand the pros and cons of every situation so that they can be confident and comfortable with every decision they make. As a result of our relationship with United Benefit Advisors, the nation’s second-largest benefit advisory firm, JRW Associates has a full array of solutions, products and resources to help our clients. JRW Associates strives to be a forward-thinking partner with all our clients. We work alongside our clients during every stage of the benefits and insurance procurement process. This relationship allows allows the team at JRW Associates to negotiate on clients’ behalf and represent them in an unbiased and objective manner. After the introduction of the Affordable Care Act of March 23, 2010, the insurance agency environment significantly changed. With the implementation of the ACA, compliance regulations are constantly be updated and modified. JRW Associates knows that in this new insurance and benefits landscape, it’s almost impossible for employers to keep up with what is required of them.
