Morning all.

Just a little awareness and reminder of how life can turn on you in a blink of an eye.

I received a disturbing voicemail a couple of days ago from a “client.” He is in the hospital and now terminally ill and they gave him 3 weeks left to live😢he could hardly breathe while he was talking on the phone.

He wanted to go over his policy to make sure he understood it for his beneficiary. But… after a couple of days of research of why I couldn’t locate his policy, he was one of those ones that wanted a quote, wanted coverage but “had to think about it” and said I will let you know what I decide to do.

Well long story short he thought he put coverage in place but he did not and now it is too late.

My whole point here is DO NOT ask for a quote, ask for me to sit with you to explain the living benefits for you and the death benefits for your beneficiaries, just to tell me “I’ve gotta think about it” and then blow me off. Think about what? He had 3 years since I sat with him in New York to “think about it” and every time I called to follow up with him it was the same ole thing.

He thought by having me come out to his house and run over options he was Covered. You know how hard it was to explain this to him knowing he was dying?

Please please please, do not put anyone into this predicament as the only thing I can do now is pray for the man and his family.

It is beyond me why you ask for help that fits your budget and helps your family in the end , do nothing about it and then you point the finger when something happens and it’s your own fault.

Love what I do for families but responsibility plays a big role in your families future.

What does accidental death and dismemberment insurance cover?

AD&D insurance generally covers:

Death in an accident, like a car crash or airplane crash
Death by murder
Loss of limb or finger
Loss of sight, hearing, or speech
If you are injured or killed in an accident, you or your family can make a claim with your insurance company. The insurer will then pay a benefit amount based on your injuries (or death), as listed in your policy.

What doesn’t accidental death and dismemberment insurance cover?

AD&D policies have a number of exclusions for accidents. For example, it won’t pay a benefit if your death is the result of something going wrong during a surgery. Individual states also have their own exclusions to AD&D coverage.

AD&D insurance won't pay out if you die in one of the following ways:

Activities considered high risk by insurers, such as skydiving
Drug overdose
Drunk driving
Illness, such as a heart attack
Natural causes

Always treat your team with respect.

Your first task as a leader is to take care of your team. Treating people like objects or failing to be humane is not leadership; instead, it’s telling signs of a dictator. Build and sustain a respectful work environment since employees are inspired to give their absolute best and stay productive in a great culture.

A professional and respectful work culture encourages productivity and growth; breeds a healthy, high-trust environment while allowing everyone to become the very best version of themselves. Unfortunately, the opposite is also true; if a leader shows no respect for their team, the organization will become toxic, trust will be eroded, the best people will leave, and the organization will eventually become irrelevant.
