Today marks the next chapter of ECA.

What began as a small, focused team has evolved into a scaled platform operating across multiple states - supported by a growing network of companies across construction, operations, asset management, and capital markets.

We built this platform to create greater efficiency, align ex*****on with capital, and maintain control across every stage of the investment lifecycle. By bringing these capabilities together, we move faster, operate with discipline, and deliver more consistent outcomes.

At the same time, we’ve expanded into businesses that strengthen the communities we invest in - supporting long-term growth while improving the assets and environments we operate within.

This new brand reflects both the platform we’ve built and the direction ahead.

Yesterday our team got together at Drive Shack for our Q1 team event, and it was a great reminder of how much we’ve grown over the past year.

Just last year we had 12 employees and reserved two bays. This year we had 28 employees and five bays filled — a reflection of the incredible growth Emerald City Associates has experienced.

We ask a lot from our team. Our pace is fast, expectations are high, and everyone plays an important role in helping move the company forward. Because of that, it’s important to us to take time to step away from the day-to-day and enjoy time together.

Some bays were fiercely competitive (you know who you are 😅), while others kept things a little more lighthearted but overall it was a great afternoon of laughs, connection, and friendly competition.

Moments like this are a reminder that the success of ECA is driven by the people behind it. We’re grateful for the hard work our team puts in every day and proud of the culture we’re continuing to build.

This week, we closed on two exciting acquisitions.

First, we closed on the purchase of ~15,000 sq ft multi-tenant flex space in downtown Birmingham that we will renovate and turn into our Birmingham company office and second warehouse location. Not only will this provide a more streamlined logistics operation to better support our renovations, but it will also provide our growing Alabama regional team members a more central home base.

Second, we closed on a beautiful 112-unit 2008 build community in Laurel, MS at a strong basis of $62k/unit. Shadowood Park is located just outside of Hattiesburg, which is a city we have a heavy presence in, and will flow into the oversight of our strong teams in the area.

We are excited to get to work on these properties in the coming days!

We had an amazing day at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Spring Job & Internships Career Fair connecting with so many talented students! The energy, curiosity, and interest we saw today made it a huge success and we’re even more excited to officially kick off our Summer Internship Program soon.

This past Friday, we hosted our 2nd Annual Corporate Holiday Party, and it was an incredible night celebrating our people and everything we accomplished this year ✨

From great food and drinks, dueling pianos, and a photobooth, to an amazing raffle where every employee went home with a gift, the night was full of fun, laughter, and connection.

Michael and Loyd shared a meaningful recap of the year - highlighting promotions, accomplishments, growth, and what’s ahead along with a slideshow of memories from throughout the year.

Behind the scenes, our corporate team surprised Michael and Loyd with a special gift and an Office-style mocumentary, which gave us all a great laugh and made the night even more memorable.

It’s been an amazing year, and we’re so grateful for this team. Already looking forward to our 3rd Annual Holiday Party! 🥂🎄

Today we hosted our 2nd annual corporate office Thanksgiving potluck, and this year felt extra special. Last year, our corporate team was a small (but mighty!) group of about 10. This year, we’ve grown to 25 corporate team members (not everyone is pictured here)!

We’ve more than doubled in size, and our hearts are so full. We’re incredibly grateful for our phenomenal team, both here at corporate and across all of our properties. Your hard work, dedication, and passion are the reason ECA continues to grow and thrive.

Everyone brought their A-game with an amazing spread of home-cooked favorites and store-bought classics and we loved every bite 😋

☀️ Summer Friday done right!

For our Q3 outing, half the crew teed it up on the golf course while the rest of us sipped and relaxed at ZincHouse Winery ⛳️🍷

Different vibes, same mission – good laughs, team bonding, and getting to know our newer faces outside the office.

Whether it was swinging clubs or raising glasses, it was the perfect way to wrap up the week and recharge. Cheers to more Fridays like this!

Today we celebrated Sophia’s birthday, our amazing Corporate Accountant. This was our very first birthday in the new office! 🥳

Sophia has quickly become such an asset to the team, bringing not only her expertise but also her positivity and warmth to the workplace. We’re grateful to have her on our team and excited to continue celebrating many more milestones together in our new space.

Nothing like a Durham Bulls win and fireworks to celebrate the end of a busy Q2! 🎆🏟️

We wrapped up the quarter with our corporate team (plus families and guests!) in a private suite at the Bulls game, and it was the perfect way to unwind and connect. We were especially excited to have our Asset Managers from Alabama join us, having almost the whole team together made the night feel extra special.

Q2 brought a lot of growth and momentum, and we’re grateful for the hardworking group that makes it all happen. Here’s to more wins, on and off the field! ⚾️💙
