WCU Agent Karen Weible from Jerseyville, IL is a proud supporter of the AWA Zonta Foundation, that works to improve the lives of women and children by expanding their access to education, economic opportunities and safe living conditions.

There was a Trivia Night held in February that raised over $6,000 to support women in their communities! Pictured is Karen (left) presenting the matching fund check to their local Zonta chapter.

There is only 1 week left to submit your applications for our Grade School and High School Scholarships! The student must be a member of WCU and be enrolled in a Catholic school for the upcoming 2026-27 school year.

Western Catholic Union is now accepting applications for our Board of Trustees election that will be held in the summer of 2026. There are 5 of our 10 elected seats open for the upcoming 4-year term that begins in August 2026 and runs through August 2030. WCU is looking for qualified board candidates with knowledge and/or experience that could help lead our organization!

You must be a member of WCU and meet several other qualifications to be considered. Legal, compliance, regulatory or business management experience a plus. Application deadline is May 15, 2026. Our Clover Bottom, MO branch recently presented a matching fund check to St. Ann Catholic Church - Clover Bottom. The branch held a super bowl raffle that raised over $500 for the St. Vincent dePaul Society of St. Gertrude Parish & School/St. Ann.

'Tis the season to be giving, and our branches have been hard at work doing just that. Our St. Louis, MO Branch sponsored a matching fund with the Shrine of St. Joseph with their annual fund drive. Our Westphalia, MO branch sponsored a bake sale to support St. Joseph Home & School. Our Quincy, IL branch sponsored a gift card fundraiser to support Birthright. And our Metro East branch presented a check to Ainad Shriners Highlanders for a raffle they held in November. All together, these fundraisers raised over $7,500.00 that will help organizations right there in their communities.

St. Anthony Church recently held a bake sale to benefit their Ladies Society. Including the matching fund from our Quincy branch, they raised over $800! Look at all those holiday treats!

Several of our branches have been busy this fall with their matching fund projects! The first photo is from our Ozora, MO branch - they sponsored a Fall Social for Guardian Angels Church and raised over $17,000! The second photo is from our Union, MO branch - they sponsored a picnic for St. Joseph Neier Church and raised over $3,000! And finally, the last photo is from our Northeast Iowa branch - they sponsored a breakfast for the Arlington Fire Department and raised over $8,000! We are proud of our branches working hard to support their communities!
