This is becoming the norm for us, this particular mortgage took 8 days from submission to obtaining a clear to close. Hello everyone, wanted to make everyone aware that mortgage rates have dropped significantly the past week or so, even more so yesterday after the Fed announcement. This is a HUGE sigh of relief as we saw rates move into the 5%'s toward the end of last and beginning of this year.

Rates have dipped to lows we havent seen in 14+ months. If you are looking to buy, this could be a great opportunity to improve your buying power and ease affordability. If you currently have a loan with MI, PMI (FHA) etc or a rate that is not in the low 4%'s, this could be the time to make a move and explore refinancing.

It only takes one event, market flucuation, or a number of other factors that could drive rates up, and quickly. This could be a temporary dip (we hope not), but everyone should be informed on what is going on right now.
