Market value = what your home could sell for

Replacement cost = what it would cost to rebuild it from the ground up (materials + labor)

Those numbers are often very different.

With construction costs fluctuating, it’s important to:

Update your policy after renovations

Account for finished basements or additions

Review your dwelling limit annually

Ask about Extended or Guaranteed Replacement Cost options
