We have to thoroughly review credit, income, assets, and get some documents to verify those things prior to knowing if you truly can be pre-approved and are ready to shop for a home. You do not want to go into one of the biggest purchases you will ever make without knowing for certain you can close. The only way to do that is to work with a lender that has a thorough conversation and has fully reviewed the necessary documentation. Work with a lender who thinks like an underwriter not like a sales person.
