What better way to announce that I got married this year then by sharing an IRS post🤣. But seriously, I super excited to say I am now officially Roberta Dawnn Cooper. I will be changing my last name after this tax season. The business name will stay the same and all business communication, including my website and my email address will not change. But my filing status will. So, if you got married like me this year remember to let your tax preparer know.

A change in your relationship status can affect your tax situation. Your filing status for the upcoming filing season generally depends on if you’ve been married or unmarried as of December 31, 2024.
