‼️ Mortgage Refinance Tip ‼️

While lowering your monthly payment is great, going from a 30 YR fixed to another 30 YR fixed mortgage is not always the best move.

The 30 YR fixed mortgage is front loaded with interest, meaning little goes towards your remaining principal balance.

Going to a 20 YR or a 15 YR term can change your net worth and the trajectory of your finances.

Below is a real quote I ran for a customer yesterday. The $4,603 (first column on left) is how much their current payment is. The second column is refinancing to a lower 30 YR rate right now(savings of almost $130,000 throughout the life of the loan). Then the 3rd column is going to a 15 YR. This is about $900 more but pays the mortgage off 15 YEARS sooner and saves your family over $660,000!!! Obviously not everyone can afford the higher payment but if you can, it can change your future net worth drastically!
