There are few things more rewarding than seeing the people you care about achieve their dreams. That's why I want to take a moment to congratulate our close family friends on their recent purchase of their forever home.

This couple has been working toward this goal for years, and it's truly inspiring to see all of their hard work pay off. Of course, buying a home is about more than just finances and logistics. It's about finding a space that truly feels like home, a place where you can relax, unwind, and make memories with your loved ones. And based on what I've seen of their new home so far, I have no doubt that this couple will be able to do just that.

But perhaps what I admire most about this couple's journey is their unwavering commitment to each other and their shared goal. They've faced setbacks and challenges along the way, but they never lost sight of what they were working toward. And now, they can enjoy the fruits of their labor together, in a space that truly reflects their personalities and priorities.

So to our dear friends, I say: congratulations! Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance have paid off in a big way. I can't wait to see all of the memories you'll make in your new home, and I look forward to visiting often to share in those moments with you.

Here are some of my top tips for first time homebuyers. ✍️

Fun fact: most of the time, I don’t recommended maximizing your budget. Just because you can qualify for a home on paper doesn’t mean that it suits your budget. You should still be able to live the lifestyle you want to if you budget for your mortgage payment accordingly.

The most important piece to this process is maintaining a good mindset. Investing in your first home typically requires short term sacrifice for long term gain.

One other thing I would add is… take homebuying advice from non-real estate professionals with a grain of salt. I know many people pride themselves in knowing tons about the housing market, but I would suggest to seek advice (or at least a second opinion) from local real estate professionals.
