Hilb Group Unveils Expanded and Renovated Putnam Office at 16 Pomfret Street.
New facility brings northeast Connecticut teams together under one roof while enhancing client experience and supporting continued growth in our region.
PUTNAM, CT — Hilb Group is pleased to announce the completion of an extensive expansion and renovation of its Putnam office located at 16 Pomfret Street. Officially reopening on April 23rd, 2026, the transformed 11,000-square-foot facility reflects the company's continued investment in collaboration, client experience, operational efficiency, and the future of the Quiet Corner community.
The project expanded the existing footprint by adding a nearly 6,000-square-foot addition to bring multiple Hilb teams together in one centralized location, including Personal Insurance, Commercial Insurance, Employee Benefits, and Medicare services.
Designed with both employees and clients in mind, the newly renovated space features modernized office environments, open collaborative workspaces, glass conference rooms, upgraded technology infrastructure, enhanced accessibility, refreshed exterior improvements, and updated branding elements throughout the building. The redesign was completed to support continued team growth while creating a more seamless and comfortable experience for clients visiting the office.

Construction began in early 2025, with demolition and phased construction completed while Hilb continued operations from a temporary location to ensure uninterrupted client service throughout the process. The project was completed on a tight timeline, with the facility officially reopening on April 23rd, 2026.
Hilb Group celebrated the completion of the project with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house held in partnership with the Northeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce on May 21st, 2026. The event welcomed clients, community leaders, chamber members, business partners, and local officials for an opportunity to tour the renovated facility and celebrate the company's continued investment in northeastern Connecticut. The event drew an exceptional turnout and highlighted the strong relationships Hilb has built throughout the local business community.

The project was led by Woodstock Building Associates and included collaboration from numerous local contractors and partners throughout northeastern Connecticut, reinforcing Hilb's commitment to investing in the regional business community.
Located at a prominent entrance into downtown Putnam, the updated property contributes to the continued growth and appearance of the surrounding business district while reinforcing Hilb's presence in the region. Improvements to the property, including upgraded exterior features and parking areas, further support the ongoing revitalization and investment taking place throughout the community.
Hilb plans to continue utilizing the space to support operations, while also serving as a gathering place for meetings, events, and continued community engagement.
