Lisa Yountchi - CrossCountry Mortgage

My father was interested in the property business, and it has always been something I’ve enjoyed. It feels great to be part of such a huge milestone in their lives. I started in the mortgage industry six years ago when a friend introduced me to Chris Albanese and Peter Costakos. I was looking for a job and they were looking for someone who understood this is a business of long-term relationships.

I started at the bottom, worked my way up, and I’ve never forgotten the client always comes first. I don’t take no for an answer and will work until I find a solution and close a deal. I want you to get the place you love on the terms you want. I particularly enjoy working with first-time homebuyers, explaining the mortgage process, and guiding them through each step of their home loan. If I say I’m going to do something, I do it. I make it a point not to over-promise, but I also ensure I don’t underdeliver. When you work with me, you’ll have the knowledge your need and timely answers to your questions. I’m very aware I’m a woman in a male-dominated industry, but as a working mom, I know how to juggle multiple balls and get the job done. I grew up in the Bay Area of Northern California, attended the University of Chicago, and have a doctorate in Russian literature from Northwestern University. I taught Russian literature at the University of Pennsylvania prior to my move into the mortgage industry. For fun, I read chick-lit, watch Big Bang Theory, and sing karaoke. I love spending time with my two little boys, who are the reason I go to work every day.
