Are you still dealing with your hurricane claim?!
As we approach the nine-month anniversary of Hurricane Ian, some Floridians are continuing to work through the insurance claims process. In an effort to help bring resolution to some of the challenges Floridian’s are facing, the Department of Financial Services will be hosting Hurricane Ian Insurance Claims Assistance Villages in Ft. Myers and Punta Gorda, FL. These events will be held on June 27th, 28th and 29th. Each Village is scheduled to be open between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The purpose of these Villages is to provide insurers with a venue to meet face-to-face with their policyholders to discuss concerns and outstanding issues involving Hurricane Ian claims. The goal is that our insureds leave this event with settled claims, or at least a better understanding of the steps necessary to reach settlement.
The State Farm Claims Team will have a presence at the event each day. Event dates, times and locations are as follows:
• Tuesday, June 27th, 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Florida Southwestern State College, 8099 College Parkway, AA177, Ft. Myers, FL, 33919
• Wednesday, June 28th, 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Charlotte County Event Center, 75 Taylor St., Punta Gorda, FL, 33950
• Thursday, June 29th, 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Charlotte County Event Center, 75 Taylor St., Punta Gorda, FL, 33950
