There’s a growing frustration I hear from taxpayers over and over again…

❌ Emails go unanswered
❌ Questions get brushed off
❌ You’re left in the dark about your own finances

That “old-school CPA” approach just doesn’t cut it anymore.

You deserve more than compliance. You deserve a partner.

✔️ We respond — because your time matters
✔️ We research — because your situation isn’t one-size-fits-all
✔️ We explain — so you actually understand what’s going on
✔️ We guide — so you can make confident decisions

Our goal is simple:
Help you know what you need to know to succeed… and trust that everything else is handled.

If your CPA isn’t invested in your success, it might be time for a new approach.

🚨 New Federal Tax on Certain Money Transfers (Starting 2026) 🚨

Beginning January 1, 2026, a new federal rule adds a 1% tax to some money transfers (also called remittances).

👉 When the tax applies:
- Sending money using cash
- Money orders
- Cashier’s checks
- Other physical payment methods

👉 When the tax does NOT apply:
- Transfers from a bank account
- Payments using a debit card
- Payments using a credit card issued in the U.S.

💡 Good to know:
You won’t file or report this tax yourself. The money transfer company collects it automatically at the time of the transfer and sends it to the IRS.

📌 Bottom line:
If you send money using cash-based services, expect to see a small additional charge starting in 2026. Using bank or card-based transfers avoids the tax.

Don’t let inherited retirement account rules catch you off guard! Most nonspouse beneficiaries must fully withdraw inherited IRA or 401(k) funds within 10 years if the original owner died after 2019. Depending on the situation, you may not have the option to wait and take a lump-sum distribution at the 10-year mark but instead be required to take annual required minimum distributions (RMDs). Not taking an RMD can trigger a penalty equal to 25% of the missed RMD. Could you be affected?

Let’s review your circumstances together. Call us at (208)503-3014.
