Quick poll question: How many of you know what your wind/hail deductibles are? Many insurance agents will give you $1000 deductible on all perils, with the exception of wind/hail and charge a percentage of your dwelling coverage, sometimes amounting to upwards of $10,000! What does that mean to you? Basically, if you ever had a hail claim (very common in Colorado!), you'll be paying a roofer out of pocket to fix your roof. This is done to keep your home policy premium low. I see it all the time. If you don't know what coverage you have, call me.
