Wire fraud is rampant! If you are buying a home or anything that requires you to send money using a wire transfer, be cautious! ALWAYS call the recipient to verify the instructions before sending. Do not rely on an unsecured email or text message instructions! Mayes County Abstract will NEVER text wire instructions. We utilize a SECURE system to email them but you always need to be in close contact with the recipient to verify! If you receive something that you are not expecting or did not ask for, call us or your lender immediately! Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns!
