I enjoyed spending time with the Webster County Senior Center at the Providence location today!

We discussed the importance of wills and trusts, along with practical ways to prepare and make your wishes known. I was also able to share Thrivent’s “Will and Estate Planning Guide,” a helpful resource designed to make the planning process a little easier.

The power of a Roth IRA:
Opening one can be simple. Setting up an automatic monthly contribution can be simple.
You don’t have to start with a huge amount. If you have earned income and are eligible to contribute, start with what you can. Make it automatic, increase it as your income grows, then give it time.

That’s my challenge to young people:
Start small. Start early. Stay consistent.

If you’re a young person (or a parent who wants to help your child understand how a Roth IRA could work for them) I’d be glad to have that conversation.

*Roth IRA contributions require earned income and are subject to IRS eligibility and contribution limits.
