The Business Development Company Announces a New Member Bank Relationship with Bristol County Savings Bank

Providence, RI – October 11, 2022, The Business Development Company of Rhode Island (BDCRI) announced that Centreville Bank will be represented on the BDCRI Board of Directors by Leland R. Merrill, Jr., Senior Vice President, and Chief Lending Officer where he is responsible for overseeing commercial lending throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.
With 25 years in the industry, Lee brings his expertise in regional and community banking to our board of directors. Merrill also serves as a board member for the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce and the Newport County YMCA. He currently resides in Jamestown, RI.
Merrill has his MBA in Finance from the University of Rhode Island and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington.

The Business Development Company Announces a New Member Bank Relationship with Bristol County Savings Bank

Providence, RI – September 13, 2022, The Business Development Company of Rhode Island (BDCRI) announced Bristol County Savings Bank (BCSB) as its newest partner, joining 10 existing member banks in providing local small businesses with the funding needed to grow and prosper.
The BCSB-BDCRI partnership was initiated in conjunction with the Bank’s commitment to expanding its lending presence to Rhode Island, and it further leverages the Company’s commitment to expanding capital access to businesses whose needs may fall outside the traditional box.
Bristol County Savings Bank will be represented on the BDCRI Board of Directors by Hasan Ali, Senior Vice President in Commercial Lending, who leads the Rhode Island and Attleboro, Massachusetts lending teams out of the bank’s Warwick loan office.
“Hasan has a hands-on understanding of our role in complementing the bank financing available to small businesses and joins a board that respects small business as an economic engine in the local economy”, said BDCRI President, Peter C. Dorsey, Jr.
