Floyd County Farm Bureau recently presented a check to Heather Coleman, Floyd County Extension Agent, 4-H Youth Development, for the Jack Friar Memorial Scholarship Fund. The money goes toward the registration of 4H students who attend the annual Floyd County 4H camp.

Floyd County Farm Bureau Board members attended the Kentucky Farm Bureau Legislative Drive-In in February. We were able to thank our local legislators and elected officials for their support and representation and gave Kentucky Proud gift baskets in recognition of National Food Check Out Day.

The Floyd County Farm Bureau Women's Committee observed Ag Literacy Week from March 16 through 20. We visited multiple schools and read a book titled 'I Love Blueberries!' Chris Akers assisted by distributing fresh blueberries to each child. The event was thoroughly enjoyed due to the excellent students and teachers!
