- Starting on Friday morning, if youโre wondering what to do with your apple trees this spring, head over to The King's Gardener in Presque Isle for an Apple Grafting and Pruning Workshop from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The King's Gardener Farm
- The Anah Shrine Circus is in town all weekend at the Presque Isle Forum. Showtimes are 7:00 p.m. Thursday, 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. Friday, and 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m., and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Anah Shriners of Aroostook
- Also Friday, Homeless Services of Aroostook is hosting a Motherโs Day Basket Raffle from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Northeastland Hotel, in Presque Isle continuing Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During the day on Saturday, the hotel will also host a Motherโs Day Tea from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., catered by Rodneyโs. - Friday night, the Friends of Northern Maine Community Trails will host a Flower Moon Social and Potluck starting at 5:30 p.m. on the Fort Fairfield Road in Presque Isle. This includes a casual group hike, moon gazing, and a potluck.
- Itโs also the First Friday of May, which means First Friday Art Night in Presque Isle! Here's an overview of the lineup: P.I. First Friday Art Night
* The Aroostook Agency on Aging will feature their Age with Attitude Photo Gallery from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.
* At the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library Akeley Gallery, Series IV by UMPI Art Department alumni will be on display from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
* The Common Gallery will feature painter Alex Rino from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
*Wintergreen Arts Center showcases artist Kevin Luckham from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
* Aroostook Partners in the Arts will be set up selling raffle tickets for their Mother's Day Basket Raffle and promoting their online Mother's Day Jewelry Auction during the art walk at The Common Gallery.
* At the Reed Art Gallery, you can see 'Abstracted', a senior thesis show by Ryan Lemire, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
* And at the Northeastland Hotel, Raphael Gribetz will be displaying paintings and sculptures from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with live music by Troy Celik happening at Rodneyโs on Main Street.
*Youโll also find Sparrowhawk Tie Dye set up on the sidewalk downtown during Art Night.
- The Francis Malcolm Science Center is hosting another planetarium show this weekend, Flight Adventures, at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Francis Malcolm Science Center
- Moving into Saturday, the Mapleton Daze Committee is hosting a Spring Breakfast Fundraiser at the Lions Club from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m., with a suggested donation of ten dollars. Mapleton Daze
- Author Cathie Pelletier will be signing her new book Evangelineโs Journey at The Book Nook in The Aroostook Centre Mall from 11 am - 2 PM.
- Saturday evening, the Best Western Caribou Inn will host the Atlantic Salmon for Northern Maine Annual Gala from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Best Western Caribou Inn
- In Island Falls, The Slice Restaurant is hosting a 1920s speakeasy-themed Murder Mystery Dinner with Mystery207. Tickets include dinner and the show. The Slice
- Down in Houlton, the Temple Theatre will host a Comedy Night featuring Adam Hatch and Ian Stuart from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. Temple Theatre
-For live music lovers, Dan Rooney will be playing at Knife Edge Brewing, the Dustpans Duo will be at Bastians Tavern, and DJ Jake Ball will be spinning at the Time Out in Presque Isle Saturday night.
- And finally, on Sunday at 2:00 p.m., the Mapleton Pageant will take place at the Mapleton Elementary School.
