A little piece of advice I would like everyone to read!! In regards to protecting your personal property, keep track of what you have! Get ahead of this before something happens. I can tell you from personal experience, dealing with a house fire and then trying to settle a claim for personal property is extremely daunting!! My recommendation is every year when your policy renews, take photos of your belongings in each room of your home, garage, shop etc. or update your inventory to help ease that burden after a loss occurs. This also helps you make an informed decision on the coverage amount you need for your personal property.
