Being helpful to people with whatever information you can share is always a blessing but, if it’s your profession do not let ANYONE take advantage of you. No matter the relationship. Family will always feel like, you should give them something for free or a discounted price if you have a business. Love them the same and treat them like a customer because that’s what they become when it comes to business.

It’s sad when people come to us and say people who have looked into their credit before made them feel terrible about their score. Even saying they should be ashamed and other hurtful comments. At the end of the day a credit score is just that: a credit score. It does not define your worth as a human being. I tell any client who comes to us this because it’s the truth, no matter what anyone may try to project onto you. If you are taking the steps to improve your score and learn about your relationship to money in the process that’s what matters. Build better habits but hold NO shame!
