We’re excited to announce that HPFC customer-stockholder and nominating committee member Lindy McMillen has been selected for the Farm Credit Council Services Women of Distinction program.
Lindy grew up with a passion for agriculture and is now the co-owner of McMillen Farms, Inc. Over the past six years, she and her husband have grown their family farm in Lane County, Kansas, into a dryland operation producing milo, corn, and wheat.
They’re proud to be raising their young son in agriculture and hope to instill in him the values of hard work and responsibility.
Off the farm, Lindy serves as Director of Grain Trading for Garden City Co-op, where she oversees grain merchandising and origination across 21 locations in Kansas and Oklahoma.
She’s deeply committed to rural America and is involved in several organizations and boards that support the ag industry and her local community. You may also recognize Lindy as the 2026 American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Discussion Meet winner.
Lindy looks forward to participating in the Women of Distinction program to continue building her leadership skills, connect with other women in agriculture, and challenge her perspective — all with the goal of making a meaningful impact on the future of agriculture.
Congratulations, Lindy, and thank you for representing High Plains Farm Credit and our Kansas communities so well.
